Today MBH and I started to discuss whether we wanted a doula, a coach to help you out during the birth.

Here’s a glimpse into how that went.

MBH: “So basically a doula can do part of what a midwife can do, but not all. And a midwife can do part of what a doctor can do, but not all. Why are we not just going the straight doctor route again?”

Kate: “I love you. Very much. But your strength is not calming motivation. And my strength is not being positive under duress. So it is definitely worth it to pay someone to help us out with that.”
