In early summer, we took a quick day trip to Fuji Peace Park, a couple hours away from our house. We’d seen some incredible views of Fuji-san from here on a friend’s Facebook photos, and my hardcore FOMO kicked in – I had to see it for myself.
The views didn’t disappoint. From the moment we arrived, we had a gorgeous clear view of Mt. Fuji, even from the parking lot.
Although getting a family photo by it was harder than it should have been.
We walked up a tall hill toward the entrance of the park, where we were greeted by a beautiful bell and some even more spectacular views of Fuji.
Fuji Peace Park was designed to promote peace, and one of the most striking features of the park are the stone lions in distinct designs from many Asian countries and islands. It was so neat to see how striking different each ‘Asian-style’ lion could be.
Fuji Peace Park is located in Gotemba City. For more information and addresses, visit here.
